Overview

Cerebrolysin is a mixture of low-molecular-weight neuropeptides and free amino acids derived from porcine brain tissue. It has neurotrophic properties similar to naturally occurring growth factors and is approved in many countries for neurological conditions.

Mechanism of Action

Contains multiple neurotrophic peptides → mimics BDNF, NGF, CNTF effects → promotes neuronal survival → enhances synaptic plasticity → reduces amyloid pathology → modulates GSK-3β and CDK5.
